1. Who we are
GreekTV (“we”, “us”) provides Roku channels that offer a TV-friendly interface for watching publicly available Greek television and radio streams — the same kind of free streams you could already open in a web browser or media player on your computer. We do not broadcast, host, or sell the underlying video.
Channel lineups are maintained on greektv.page and delivered to the apps as catalog data. This policy describes how information is handled when you use those Roku apps.
2. Apps covered
This policy applies to GreekTV-branded Roku channels, including:
- Greek TV Lite (free, ad-supported — US, Canada, UK, and other regions as published in the Roku Channel Store)
- GreekTV (paid / premium — US & Canada)
- Any future GreekTV Roku channel published under the same brand
Greek TV Lite and GreekTV (premium) offer the same channel lineup and the same streams. The only difference is how the app is funded: Lite is free and ad-supported; premium is a paid subscription without those in-app ads. Payment for the premium channel is processed by Roku.
3. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or payment details inside our apps (payment for the paid channel is processed by Roku).
We do not intentionally collect personal information from you through the apps themselves.
Technical data
When the app or your device requests channel catalogs, artwork, or related files from greektv.page, standard web server and CDN logs may temporarily record:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested URL and HTTP status
- Browser or user-agent string sent by the Roku device
We use this information only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service (for example measuring traffic, blocking abuse, and fixing broken channels). We do not sell this data.
4. Information collected by Roku and others
Roku operates the platform on which our channels run. Roku may collect device identifiers, usage data, and account information according to Roku’s Privacy Policy. We do not control Roku’s data practices.
Free (ad-supported) channels: Roku or its advertising partners may show ads and collect information for ad delivery and measurement under Roku’s and those partners’ policies.
Video streams: When you play a channel, your Roku device connects directly to third-party broadcasters or hosting providers. Those providers may log your IP address and technical data. We do not operate those stream servers.
5. Channel lineup data
Our Roku apps download a channel catalog from our servers. The catalog contains public metadata such as channel titles, poster image URLs, stream URLs, and technical playback fields. It does not contain viewer personal information.
We do not own the broadcasts, programs, or recordings shown in the apps. Channel names, logos, and artwork belong to their respective broadcasters and rights holders. We display logos and titles only to help you identify channels in the lineup, not to claim ownership or endorsement.
We list only streams that are already published for public internet viewing (for example via a broadcaster’s website or a public playlist). We provide organization, monitoring, and a Roku interface — not exclusive or pay-TV content.
Catalog sources include publicly listed streams (see free-greek-iptv/greek-iptv on GitHub). Streams may change or stop working without notice.
6. How we use information
We use the limited technical data described above to:
- Deliver and update channel catalogs and artwork
- Monitor stream health and remove or flag unavailable channels
- Protect the service from misuse
- Improve reliability of the lineup
7. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share technical logs only when required to:
- Comply with law or valid legal process
- Protect the rights, safety, or security of the service or users
- Work with infrastructure providers (for example Cloudflare) that host greektv.page on our behalf
8. Retention
Server and CDN logs are kept for a limited period needed for operations and security, then deleted or aggregated. We do not maintain viewer profiles.
9. Children
Our channels are general-audience apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us using the details below.
10. Your choices
- You can stop using a channel at any time by removing it from your Roku device.
- Roku account, privacy, and advertising settings are managed in your Roku account and device settings.
- Because we do not operate user accounts for these apps, we cannot look up “your data” beyond what appears in routine server logs tied to an IP address and timestamp.
11. International users
Our infrastructure may process requests in various countries where our hosting providers operate. Stream providers may be located in Greece, Cyprus, Canada, the United States, or elsewhere.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
