1. Agreement
By installing, accessing, or using a GreekTV Roku channel, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the channel.
2. The service
GreekTV Roku channels are media players and a channel guide. They read a catalog published by us and play publicly available live streams that you could already watch on a computer — for example in a web browser or player such as VLC — if you had the link.
We do not produce, own, license, or sell the television or radio content itself. We provide the interface, organization, and technical work to make those public streams easier to browse and watch on your TV through Roku. When you play a channel, your Roku device connects to third-party stream sources, not to a GreekTV-owned broadcast.
We do not guarantee that any particular channel will be available, uninterrupted, or lawful in your location.
3. Apps covered
These Terms apply to GreekTV-branded Roku channels, including:
- Greek TV Lite — free, ad-supported
- GreekTV (premium) — paid subscription via the Roku Channel Store (US & Canada)
- Other GreekTV Roku channels published under the same brand
Lite and premium include the same channels and the same stream sources. The difference is funding only: Lite is free with advertisements; premium is a paid subscription without in-app ads.
4. Public content only
The lineup is limited to publicly available channels — streams that are already offered on the open internet, not closed pay-TV bouquets. You will not find subscription services such as NOVA or other commercial pay-TV packages in our catalog. If you can’t watch a stream on your computer from a normal public source, we don’t add it. A current list is published at greektv.page/status.
5. Third-party content, ownership, and logos
All broadcasts, programs, music, and other media are created and operated by third-party broadcasters and hosting providers, not by GreekTV. When you play a channel, your device connects to those third parties. Their terms, copyright notices, and geographic restrictions may apply.
We do not claim ownership of any channel content. Channel names, logos, trademarks, and artwork displayed in the apps remain the property of their respective owners. We use them solely to identify and organize channels in the catalog, similar to how a TV guide lists station names and logos. No endorsement by any broadcaster is implied.
6. Catalog updates
We may add, remove, reorder, or change channels in the lineup at any time without notice — for example when a stream stops working, a broadcaster requests removal, or a better public source becomes available. Issues and takedown requests for the underlying list may be filed at github.com/free-greek-iptv/greek-iptv/issues.
7. Greek TV Lite vs GreekTV (premium)
Both apps offer the same channel lineup and the same public stream links. Neither version includes extra pay-TV channels or exclusive programming.
Greek TV Lite (free)
Lite is free and ad-supported. Advertisements are served by Roku or its advertising partners before or during playback, according to Roku’s policies.
GreekTV (premium)
The premium channel is purchased through Roku. Billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Roku under Roku’s store terms. The subscription fee supports hosting, monitoring, catalog maintenance, and development of the Roku interface — not a license to commercial or pay-TV content. Premium does not add channels; it removes in-app advertising compared to Lite.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the channels for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer our services or infrastructure
- Redistribute our channel catalogs or artwork for commercial use without permission
- Circumvent geographic or technical restrictions imposed by stream providers where doing so is prohibited
9. No warranty
THE CHANNELS AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant continuous playback, accuracy of channel metadata, compatibility with every Roku model, or availability in every country. Some streams (for example certain YouTube-linked entries) may not play on Roku because of platform limitations.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREEKTV AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE CHANNELS OR INABILITY TO PLAY A STREAM.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PAID GREEKTV CHANNEL IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) TEN US DOLLARS (US $10).
11. Roku platform
Your use of Roku hardware and software is subject to Roku’s own terms and policies. We are not Roku and are not responsible for Roku’s products, billing errors on Roku’s side, or changes Roku makes to its platform.
12. Changes
We may modify these Terms or the channel lineup at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
You may stop using a channel at any time by removing it from your Roku device. We may discontinue a channel or service if required for legal, technical, or business reasons.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
